Making The Most Of It

Every weekday morning I get up at 7:30, go downstairs and make lunches. At 8 I drag (literally) Kaitlyn out of bed. Then I get Caleb dressed - 90% of the times he's been up for a good 30 minutes. Once they're dressed I feed them breakfast. Such a fun morning.

The girls come last. Awake or asleep I leave them in their cribs. Getting the kids to school on time would be impossible with the girls awake - it's already next to impossible now!

I always give the girls breakfast to go and they know where to find it on the island. This morning Julianna got her milk and her cereal and sat on the floor. Alyssa came along and did the same thing. And then Rachel decided she too should sit on the floor to drink her milk and eat her cereal. Of course I had to snap a picture! And, yes, we were a tad late for school this morning. Note to self: stick to normal routine which basically involves shuttling kids into the car as soon as I get them up. Oh yea, loads of fun. At least the girls seem to be adjusting just fine to it even if it does mean eating breakfast on the floor!

And did I mention I am NOT a morning person?!

Oh man, that has to be hard...getting them all out the door...no chance of a carpool?

Wow, I'm impressed. I would have a mad house of crazy kids, half naked and cereal everywhere if I tried that. I try to leave the kids in their cribs until my mom gets here so I can get myself ready. Sometimes I have to get them up because they are crying and then I am usually late.

LOL! Sounds like my routine. Only, my kids are not "quiet in their cribs"...so I do manage to throw them from their cribs into the highchairs and then into the car. =) THANKFULLY, Shane drives Zoe to school on Tu & Th, so it's a bit more relaxed then.
