Six Flags: More Fun With Triplets!

The girls enjoyed another new first yesterday: their first trip to a theme park. Other than a few tears this is how the girls looked most of the day:

We just loved seeing their faces as they experienced each new ride. They LOVED the pirate ship that rocked back and forth (didn't go upside down) and wanted to ride it again and again.

And Kaitlyn had a new and exciting first herself: her first ride on a BIG roller coaster - she rode Superman: TWICE! She was so brave despite being really nervous.

She's not on this particular ride but you can see how high the drop is - we are so proud of her for giving it a try :)

I was surprised at how smooth our day went since it was the first time we have brought the girls along. Yes, we did get a LOT of attention. Mostly, I think it was the choo choo wagon - everyone pointed and stared and I heard a lot of, "that is so cool"; "that is the way to go"; "I wish I had one of those" along with the normal cuteness comments.

We spent a large portion of our time in the brand new Thomas the Train Section - fortunately for us it happens to be right next to Superman (how perfect!) so I was able to entertain the girls while Kirk rode Superman and vice versa.

The really cool playground...

The girls got to enjoy lots of different rides.

Caleb certainly wasn't left out of the roller coaster fun - he was tall enough to go on all of the wooden coasters and he enjoyed those as well as the "bigger kid" roller coasters in the little kid area.

Thankfully there are also a number of in-between rides that both Kaitlyn and Caleb could go on - the pirate ship was the only one we could all go on as a family - these are the flying boats - dad stayed behind with the triplets while I went with the older two. That was most of our day - splitting up who went with who and did what ride since there wasn't much we could do as an entire family.

All in all we had a really good day. We love to attend Kirk's company picnic and this year was no exception - we really enjoyed being able to take the entire family for the first time ever and we are already looking forward to next year! And we are certainly looking forward to the year that all of us can ride Superman together :)

Looks like a blast! That roller coaster drop is insane! Steve will have to ride rides with our Trio because sadly in my old age they all make me sick now! Ahh..to be young. :)
