Fast forward three months. I get a knock on my door - it's one of my neighbors. A mom and her teenage daughter. They had come to offer her services. For free. Did I want help?

And that is how my only mother's helper came to be. A year and a half later Allison is still coming over one morning a week to hang out with me and the babes. God bless her - she's a wonderful girl!
She is even willing to hold Julianna and sing "rock-a-baby" over and over and over again. Trust me, it gets old and she gets heavy. Even tells me she's heavy these days. So funny, I don't remember telling her that!
So, these pictures aren't from way back but the friendship is and I, for one, certainly hope it continues :)
