Big Reveal Part 1

And the color winner is: Green and Yellow and Red and probably blue. Sort of. Most everyone loved green and green it is! Yea :) And we went with green on the bottom but instead of khaki on top which seems like an adult color, we went with yellow. I did like the idea of molding in between but we just didn't have the time so instead we used paint. Paint is great for lots of things!

First step: Green - shown here by my big helpers! They got bored during the green. Like Kirk says, "painting isn't fun!" But it sure looks good and bright when it's done :)

Add a splash of yellow:

And a dash of red:

And you get an awesome and bright playroom!

But stay tuned, there will be more to come later this week. There's a second part of the basement that we haven't painted yet and that will probably be blue with a dash of red. I love red :) Now comes the task of re-organizing basically the whole house so that the toys are downstairs and I can once again live on the main floor!

And, finally, here's the tree:

Sorry it's blurry - I hate taking pictures of lights and I tried three times to get it right!

I love that! At first I wasn't liking the green and yellow, but the red brings it together. I really need to do our basement, so might steal that from you. Ha!

I Love it!

It looks great! I wish we had more than just one room for housing toys... but perhaps I should rethink it and just work toward having less toys.

Looks great! Can you come paint my house now?
As for the shopping I go to Costco once a month and stock up, I usually hit the store once a week but only for small things and of course fruits and vegitables.

I would never have thought those colors would go together but they look really good!! See, I guess I am just too safe and boring. Maybe I should just risk it sometime with colors and see what happens. That is if I ever paint again.
