Grocery Game (Again)

I know I mentioned this earlier in the year but I have to share once again about The Grocery Game. Last night I went shopping at Harris Teeter (I went to both to double up on some sales) - in total I spent $75.55. But I SAVED: $146.59!! Can you believe it? I'm completely serious. Of course I have Juicy Juice coming out my ears (it was buy 2 get three free) but hey, the girls love juice and we go through it like it's going out of style anyway. So, for me my 12 bottles of juice (Mots for Tots was also on sale with a coupon) will last maybe two weeks.

That's not the point - the point is it is totally worth it! Once I make it through a 12 week cycle I can probably drop BJ's off my grocery shopping other then for diapers. No matter how good a sale the grocery store has their diapers don't cut it for triplets. Same goes for formula but thank God we are past those days!!

Check out www.thegrocerygame.com to sign up for a 4 week trial and try it out for yourself. Like I've said, make sure you choose a store that doubles (and sometimes triples) coupons. She'll tell you the best deals and when to use your coupons - last night I got toothbrushes, cat treats and lip balm free. Hee hee - free! So cool. I also double up on newspapers so I can get two of everything that's on sale. That was how I got 2 toothbrushes, 2 things of cat treats and 2 lip balms free instead of one.

Enough on the subject :) It's just been great saving so much money in a tight economy.

Tomorrow I'll upload photos of the new basement. The pool table is gone and we have been painting away. Thanks for everyone's votes and comments :) Looks like khaki won but I just don't have it in me to paint a kids room khaki. I did, however, use some other ideas - you'll see...

I loved the Grocery Game when I was doing it. I just hate shopping every week though and it seemed like that was the only way to really save money so I stopped. I also hate spending so much time clipping coupons so I guess I'm just going to be spending to much money!
